Gabe is a 35-year radio veteran who has specialized in the news, talk and sports formats for the past 20 years. From 1998 through 2008 Gabe was responsible for the programming oversight of Clear Channel’s 275 news, talk and sports formatted stations. As part of his overall responsibilities he also served as the in-house consultant for Premiere Radio Networks which had him involved with shows such as the Rush Limbaugh Program, the Glenn Beck Show, Trumped with Donald Trump, Costas on the Radio with Bob Costas, the Dr. Laura Program and Jason Lewis. Gabe also worked on the launch of Fox Sports Radio in 2000 and remained an advisor to the network for eight years.
Gabe’s passion for working with talent has enabled him to launch careers in talk radio such as Glenn Beck, Lionel, Brian James and others. His deep knowledge of media and emerging media platforms uniquely qualifies him to assess spoken word content and then develop that content for deployment. He is a results oriented leader with a proven track record at both the local and national levels.
Gabe prides himself on his vision, meaning the ability to see where the trends are going and to help talent understand the trends and adjust accordingly. He is also a strategic thinker and offers lessons in crisis management and damage control.
Gabe has been nominated by his peers eight times and voted by his peers four times as the News/Talk Executive of the Year. These awards are presented annually by Radio and Records Magazine. Radio Ink Magazine named Gabe one of the top 10 corporate radio programmers in America. He also served on the Associated Press Board of Advisors from 2000 until 2008.
